I'm quite pleased to have the chance to post our first music video review. Beat the rest of you guys to it! Ha!
But yeah, I found Einar Stray on Bandcamp which I've been using alot of lately. There's a major element of these guys that I really like: live shows. The music video for this is (apparently) their live show edited for sound and adding some post production video effects. I love the 'real' feeling that you get from watching this (and I hate to say that) which adds more weight to the already easily related lyrics. Being from 'Murica, I notice the accent when he sings but I think it adds some nice coloring in the sound. There's also a point to make with the live show; the only electronic equipment to be seen is the keyboard itself and microphones! All of these elements combine and form a well constructed emotional structure for the listen to, and the uplifting major chords just keep carrying you higher and higher.
